About Us
We aim to offer exceptional print and publishing services to enrich and engage our community. While so much of the world is striving to eliminate the human element from work, we want to foster human connections and creativity. Because of this, one of our founding values is that we do not use generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) in our work. This includes our editing and graphic design services, which are all done by human hand.
You may be wondering.. Isn’t this a lot for a simple print shop? And you’d be right! But we believe in leading with our values no matter what we do. Even as a print shop, we believe it is important that we help shape the future we want to see for our children because the future doesn’t just happen by chance.
As parents, we want a world for our kids that honors their intellect, curiosity, and that special spark that makes them human. Our real mission is to enrich the lives of children through developing these values, and we aim to do that by offering an outlet and services to creatives of all kinds as they strive to find work that honors their skills.
We aim to do this by supporting and encouraging creatives all across the south. We strive to find ways to support writers, poets, artists, and graphic designers so that there is a future for our children that includes working in art and entertainment spaces. We source our materials locally when possible, and we strive to meet all our labor demands with the local community.
Wayward Books is based in Hernando, Mississippi, but we support and uplift creatives all across the South.
